Adding Accounts and websites from production on a workstation

When creating a new dev environment, it doesn't have any website.

You can then import websites from production on your dev environment.

Open the bento menu, choose "Exodus"

You will have a screen with a list of the past imported Account on this dev environment.

Only Account can be imported, you can not import "only a website".

With the new "Account" feature released (July 2022), they are the main point to link websites and unit data

Click on the "ADD" button to import another group.

How to find the Account of a website?

Go on production on the desired website, and check in the header the Account name

You can only import a website if the theme is already added to this dev environment

each field label has a tooltip with information, make sure to hover them for more information

After validation, it will only start the async import. Please wait ! When the import will be finished, you will receive an email with the link to the backoffice.

Once imported, feel free to play with the website, you can even delete it on your dev environment, changes will only stay on it.

FAQ

What happens if I import twice the same website?

A new website with the latest content from production will be added. Both the old and the new website will be using the same domain.

• Make sure to change the domain in the website settings of one of the two websites. If you don't do it, it will cause an issue on the local websites.

• or delete one of them if it is not needed anymore. (it will only delete it on your dev environment). The easiest is to delete it before doing the import, this way you are sure which one to remove

How can I update unit data?

For now, to update unit data we need to reset all the unit data with data from production.
